What I Did For Summer Vacation, By Miles Vorkosigan
Client: none • 2006

I wanted to make a small "trailer" for one of my favourite science fiction book series, and chose to illustrate a few scenes from Lois Bujold's The Warrior's Apprentice. The whole thing is meant to be a rather tongue-in-cheek encapsulation of the book, as opposed to literally re-creating scenes. The recurring maple leaf is because the Vorkosigan logo (as seen at the start of the film) is a maple leaf juxtaposed under three triangular shapes meant to be mountains. No, Miles is not Canadian; he is Barayaran. :)
