Client: Flight-History.com/Ghosts of Aviation · September 2000
Flight-History.com desired a separate design for a sub-site dedicated to listing resources for aviation museums. Several museums, such as the Fairchild Heritage Museum, had fundraising information listed as well. I tried to match the site design with the main Flight-History.com site design, yet maintain a distinction between the two. The colour scheme was kept primarily the same, but I changed the framework for the content pages. The dropcaps remained as well. On key paragraphs in the Fairchild information section, I doubled the line width to give the page a more brochure-like feel. I wanted certain things to stand out.
I was also required to incorporate images from the Fairchild Heritage Museums actual fundraising brochures. As these images were architectural drawings rendered in full colour marker, it was necessary to clean them up, desaturate them and then recolour them in the appropriate colours to match the site.
