Website Design : Political Badges
Client: Utterz/RPM Communications • 2007
Utterz wanted to create interactive badges where users could leave an audio message of support. They could generate a badge for the candidate of their choice. (Within reason--I had to work with the candidate presskit approved pictures and obviously the major political parties and candidates were the ones we focused on.) We did create a third party badge and included Nader as the most prominent of the third party candidates. Initially I had made all the badges from a single template but the colour confusion (red/blue parties) and the templated look didn't make the badges feel very personal. So a decision was made to go with the candidate pictures and personal logos if possible.
